Frustration: Doesn't cover it.

I got on today to start updating this old blog.

Then I saw quite a few of my posts had a dumb grey "do not enter" sign where my pictures should be.

Apparently most of my pictures are gone... because I didn't realize not wanting them on my phone would delete them.

Ugh. So much work is just ... GONE.

I may not need to switch from blogger now because my precious blog is just torn apart without pictures.

Father's Day

For Father's day, Rob and I each picked a shirt for my dad.

I picked one that describes him perfectly:
Relax. I can fix it.

Rob picked this one... I didn't think my dad would actually wear any of the shirts - but they would funny and cheap so we got them anyways.

The other day he came outside and he was wearing the shirt.

For those that know him... you would know that this shirt suits him well- he is such a boy.

Birthday! twenty-three

The only pictures I got from the day were Tristan waking me up in the morning for a Birthday Snuggle and later when he helped me open my present.

The day started off with Tristan hanging out with me and making the day extra special. After I got ready and hung out with my mom, him and Rikkell. Rikkell refused to have any pictures that included with her posted though.

Tristan and my mom took me to Ross to look around after I opened my present from them.
Rob picked me up from Ross when he got off of work (across the street) and we went to go eat. We stopped to get Five Guys and bought movie tickets to go see Man of Steel. I wasn't super impressed with the movie and grew a little bored throughout it. After we went home so Rob could change and made our way to T-mobile where Rob bought me a new phone for my birthday [samsung galaxy s4].

Then we headed to Brick Oven for dinner where I enjoyed the most delicious calzone ever. After we met Jon at the movie theater and saw "This is the End", which was completely hilarious.

It was a great day and just fun to not feel too rushed to do anything. I think I gained five pounds just in the one day.

This last Sunday, on June 30, his family had a birthday dinner for me. They pretty much know that they should always just plan on having pasta for dinner, but Rob planned everything out and made it even better than I could have imagined. He made probably 30 pounds of homemade fettuccine - garlic and herb flavored. I've never had more delicious noodles.. then everyone else had such yummy food - the best alfredo, a tasty salad [with a million croutons - my favorite!], angel food cake with strawberries and homemade whipped cream, and buttery-parmesan-y rolls.
I drool still thinking about it!

I was so spoiled this year and was so happy to spend it with friends and family.
Hopefully we'll have another great year now being twenty-three.

Boondocks - June 20

On June 20th, we got to go to Boondocks for Rob's work party. I had just gotten done with doing respite all week and sleeping at someone else's house and hadn't seen Rob for basically 4 days. That's the longest we've been apart. (awwww)

So that night, we headed up to Sandy and used a gift certificate that Rob had received for Christmas form his sister. It was to Carvers Steak and Seafood. I thought it would be like a little better version of Texas Roadhouse.
Clearly, I was off by a million percent. I walked in with shorts and a tank top and Rob was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a hat. We were so under dressed it wasn't even funny. We went on like nothing was wrong and started to pick from the menu. That is when we realized how classy the place really was... and how little on the menu I would be able to eat. [note: I am the pickiest person you will ever meet.]
Finally, I decided on a salad and added chicken so we could still use the gift certificate. I don't even like chicken. But it was the best part of the salad. It was dripping the dressing and I HATE salad dressing. I basically just eat the lettuce in salads. I was literally taking a bite, taking a swish of water to rinse off the dressing, chewing a few times, then swallowing the rest in my mouth like a pill. It was entertaining for Rob but certainly not for me.

After dinner we headed over to Boondocks, which made up for the not so fun dinner for me. We did go-karts, miniature golf (best ever!), arcade games, and laser tag. It was so fun to go and not have to worry about anything. The best part of the night was playing golf. At Boondocks they have these spinners... they weren't on every hole, but we definitely used them when they were available. You had to spin before everyone started and then you had to follow the instructions. Some things were for your benefit, and others made it more difficult on you.

A few we had were:
  • Use your foot instead of the club
  • Your opponent must do their first swing backwards, behind their back
  • Swing your first hit with your eyes closed
  • Take 1 away from your end score
  • Switch scores at the end of the hole with any opponent
  • Switch balls after the first hit of every player
It really was so fun... it made the night so much more enjoyable because I'm horrible at golf and it put me on an even playing field with Rob.

After our time was up we cashed in all our tickets and bought all candy - yummy! We ate it on the way home and just enjoyed being back together.

I'm an Aunt! - Family Photos

Okay... this really should have been up a long time ago... but better late than never.
These are a few of the many pictures I took of the Bernard family the end of April. Tristan is just over a month old in these pictures.
I'm definitely no professional, and I had to pretend that I know how to edit pictures. But that's what they get for asking me to do them.

Isn't he just the sweetest, most precious little boy ever? He is going to be spoiled rotten... but that's okay!
