New Camera

On Tuesday I decided out of the blue to look at cameras on KSL. I've done it a few times but haven't really been serious. But quickly realized I really really wanted one.

So I had my dad bargain with a local girl who was selling hers. I got a really good deal and even got two lenses. Who would have thought.

So I've officially welcomed a Nikon D40x into my family.

I've been taking a ton of pictures at work, but unfortunately can't share them. :(

Its been fun playing around with the camera and my new program Lightroom my dad also got for me.

Look forward to many many pictures in the future.

In case you didn't know...

So get your tush out there and help someone with autism.
[or maybe a family member of the person with autism]

I can't even begin to understand how hard it would be to take on the lifetime job to be a parent of a child with autism.

But I sure do them each and every one of them.

It seriously makes my day everyday to go to work and spend time with these kids.

But when that 2:15 bell rings, I'm ready to go.

So a special shout out to Angi Harris [my amazing aunt] who takes care of Ian, even if she is ready to pull her hair out.

Associates Degree

Hello everyone,
I have some news for you!

In less than 3 weeks I will be done with my associates degree!
Assuming I pass all of my classes.

It turns out that my advisor at UVU is the biggest dummy in the whole wide world.

She mislead me and now I am stuck waiting a year before doing anything with my life.

(UVU even had the guts to make me go talk to her in order to register for my new classes this summer or fall.)

I'm so frustrated with her that I will flat out never go see her again.

I even wrote a rude email.
I never have the guts to actually send these things, but I did!

So... Basically I'm done! :)

Now I just need to find a job for the summer and then maybe another part time job for the fall after school starts up again. Two jobs would suck, but I would much rather get a lot of money than have all the time in the world to waste my little amount of money.

If you know anywhere that is hiring that wouldn't be too boring to work at, please oh please let me know.

Books :)

I recently ventured out to Barnes and Noble in hopes to find some good books. I haven't read anything since Mockingjay from The Hunger Games. With school I feel guilty sitting down and reading a book for hours, when I should be doing homework or studying. Since the semester is almost done, I decided to spend some time on some books.

The first book I was after was Night. I'm actually required to read this for one of my classes. Its about a man and his experience through a concentration camp. I started this one first since I have to read it for the class. So far it has gone right over my head. I definitely don't know how to say a lot of the Jewish names that he has said so far.
When I pulled up to the store, I texted Sydney to see if there were any books that she would recommend.
She told me to get The Book Thief.
(side note.. I looked around for a book called Thief.. oh geez.)
She says I'll be hooked within the first 10 pages.
This book is also set in the time of Nazis.
How did she know that my other book would be the same time period?
Pure Genius.
The last book I purchased was The Gargoyle.
I secretly stalk an old friend's older sister's blog and she recommended this book.
I decided that I should just go for it.

I'm excited to get cracking and read these books.
Anyone else have any other suggestions? Please share

Bikes

(Rob's bike...... I cannot find a picture of mine online... just know that its really cute. And Teal.)

Today Rob and I traveled around town to buy some new bikes.

We've been talking about wanting to exercise together more...

Since we cleaned out the exercise room we take turns working out... but we don't do it together a whole lot. (I feel like a wimp when I'm panting and so out of shape.)

But we ventured out and bought some new bikes and I'm so excited.

At first, I thought maybe it wouldn't be the best workout.. except for my legs. But riding from my house to his I was already breaking a sweat.... and so was he! It wasn't just me.

We'll be able to start riding in the canyon and my plan is even to ride to go get groceries since the store isn't far at all. That way I can work off my not so healthy dinner I cook.
